Katie Couric Vs Glee
Wowza! People are really upset over this spread! We feel live we've seen so much worse, but whatever!
Katie Couric has added her name to the list of people upset over the risque GQ Glee spread by Terry Richardson. She was so outraged about it that she took time out of her CBS News broadcast to [...]
We're starting to feel like a broken record here with our consistent disappointment!
Despite being recommended for the position by New York Senator Chuck Schumer, openly gay Daniel Alter's nomination for federal bench in the US District Court has been rejected by the White House!
According to the Washington Blade:
“But informed sources told the Washington Blade that the White House rejected Alter’s nomination because of remarks he reportedly made regarding a case challenging inclusion of the phrase ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance. In addition, the White House reportedly objected to remarks that Alter made suggesting that merchants not wish shoppers ‘Merry Christmas’ during the holidays.”
So they threw Schumer's recommendation, which is standard procedure and tradition, out just because Alter supports a separation of Church and State?!
Unbelievable.
This nonsense needs to STOP! And soon!

US Skins Responds To Haters With Promotional Campaign!
Ha! Guess we weren't alone in our opinion!
Check out (above) this relatively clever promotional campaign for the US remake of the UK series Skins - featuring comments from the original's fans about how cheap a knock-off this version will be!
It's clever of them to take backlash and use it as a means to attract [...]
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone must be relieved!
Islamic extremist Zachary Chesser, otherwise known as Abu Talha al-Amrikee, has pleaded guilty to the following counts:
-communicating threats
-soliciting others to threaten violence
-material support to Somali Islamic militant organization Al-Shabab.
Chesser has created several websites where he's called for violence against Americans.
Most notably, he's called for violence against the South Park creators, as a response to the 200th episode of their cartoon, where they made perceived slights against Islam.

Watch: ‘Little Project Runway’
Sean Penn was spotted yesterday on the NYC set of his new film This Must Be the Place lookin’ like the saddest drag queen you ever did see:
Unfortch for Sean, he’s not playing a drag queen in this film. In Place, he will portray a retired and bored ex-rock star who finds out the ex-Nazi who executed his father in WWII is a refugee in the US. HMM … no wonder he looks so sad. This film sounds like some heady stuff … but I can’t get past the wig and make-up. I’m certain this film will appeal to some but, yeah, it ain’t grabbin’ me just yet.

Did You Know…
That Conan O'Brien's sister is in The Fighter?!
Neither did we, but according to People Magazine, she's quite the "scene-stealer."
Kate B. O'Brien by day is a special-ed teacher in Brookline, Mass., but now, she's one of the shining stars in the hit movie, as we hear she "nailed" the role as one of Mark Wahlberg's characters [...]
Rad! This season of The Simpsons has been all about the guest-stars and they just keep getting better and better!
Check out this first look at Alyson Hannigan and Kristen Wiig on the hit FOX show! (above)
When the show returns in two weeks, Kristen and Alyson will be the voices of a mother-daughter duo who come in to town and try to snatch the hearts of Principal Skinner and Bart Simpson.
Looks like Skinner's more easily persuaded than Bart! Ha!
Should be a fun episode!

Mr. Mrs. Chris Hemsworth Surface Down Under
Taylor Swift, who reportedly enjoyed celebrating Xmas with her mother and brother holidaying in Turks and Caicos, made her way back to Nashville, TN this week to prepare for the new year … sans Jake Gyllenhaal. Now, it’s not yet known if Taylor was able to ring in 2011 with Jakey poo last night but on New Year’s Eve eve she was rollin’ all by her lonesome with one of her BFFs. Look how sad she looks.
Taylor and her female friend grabbed a bite to eat together … but Taylor looked so bummed. Trust me, if I had been hanging out with Jake Gyllenhaal a lot and then suddenly I wasn’t, I’d be inconsolable. I guess we’ll have to see what 2011 has in store for Taylor and Jake. Do you think they’ll be together for much longer? Were they ever really together in the first place?

George Clooney To The Rescue!
Okay, so maybe things didn't go so well when George Clooney tried to play a hero in Batman & Robin, but now it looks like he's getting a second chance in real life.

According to reports, the Happiest Place On Earth is leaving more than few mouseketeers a little less than pleased this morning. Sources are reporting that guests attempting to get into Disneyland the last two days have been turned away and redirected to California Adventure. Apparently, the park has been reaching capacity almost immediately after opening.
In fact, this morning, BOTH parks were reportedly filled to the brim with peeps!
