Back in January, mama Christina Aguilera took her young son Max Liron to Disneyland here in SoCal for an early 3rd birthday party. This week, she and Max made their way to Florida to spend some time at Walt Disney World for a little mother/son bonding. I guess as a former Mouseketeer, Xtina has an [...]

Among other, um, noticeable changes…

Last night, Joey Lawrence was on hand at the kick off to Little Miracle Missions, an organization funded by Pampers and hosted by Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Several other celebrity parents were on hand for the event, like Ali Larter and Mark Consuelos, but it was Joey that caught our eye with his head full of hair.

The bald look is out, huh? Well, we wish you were sporting the flowing locks you had back in your Blossom days, but this looks nice too.

So, um, what else is going on in your face region? Maybe while you were growing your hair out, a doctor was sticking a needle in? Just saying - you're looking a bit more "fresh faced" than the last time we saw you.

Check out more hot shots from the event in the gallery (below).

The Smithsonian Honors The Original All Female Jazz Group

Does your town/city have a big upcoming performance or concert? Well approach the promoters of the show to get yourself on the line to open for their top performer, this not only gives you more exposure but also helps to make yourself available as a contact of theirs for any of their future shows. Also, try to open for artists that have a similar music style to yours, this way you may be able to pull some new fans from the main act's fan base!

Portrait Artists

Buying art materials for your children will encourage them to express themselves and advance their artistic abilities. Painting will help young ones learn creativity and discover how to develop as an artist but it is important that they have the most appropriate art materials otherwise they will struggle to produce art. The Fourth Soliloquy of Hamlet

The dramatists employ it with a purpose of divulging character's innermost thoughts or the plan of future in advance to the audience. It is just to expose mental tendency of the character or the boundary of judgment that creates curiosity among the readers or audience. Shakespearean master piece work, Hamlet, a great tragedy, earns an impregnable name and fame by employing this field.

sesame-street-comes-to-pakistan.jpg

Sesame Street continues to be a universal learning tool for children as it will now be broadcast in Pakistan to help boost education.

The U.S. is donating $20 million to fund a local version of the show, which will have the traditional New York City setting swapped for a Pakistani village.

Don't expect to see Big Bird or Cookie Monster though, as the show will feature new characters including Rani, a six-year-old female puppet with pigtails and a blue-and-white school uniform and will speak in Urdu.

Writer for the Pakistani version, Imraan Peerzada says:

"She will represent what little girls have to go through in this gender-biased society.

We are not avoiding religion‚ but we don't want to label children…the basic learning tools of literacy‚ numeracy‚ hygiene‚ and healthy eating have to be in place first."

Good work, Sesame Street. What a fantastic idea.

A Brief History of Electronic Drums

Lugging around a full-body guitar can be awkward and difficult. It takes up a lot of space in a car, and is too big to travel in an airplane overhead compartment. Checking a guitar at the counter so it can take its chances in the luggage compartment is not only risky, but can be a stressful experience. The Washburn travel guitar can cure you of all of these inconveniences.

Goodnight quotes and sayings are shared in friendship and romantic settings and are great because most people love goodnight quotes since they were young and short little kids in their cribs being tucked in and kissed by their parents.

Do You Want A Career In Music?

The RG-26 is an OM/OO size/style acoustic guitar built with an all solid Sitka spruce top and solid Honduran mahogany back and sides. This small bodied wonder really packs a punch as it excels at both finger style playing and flat picking. Upon first receiving this particular model guitar, I found myself inspired to to play some finger style tunes and cover some new musical ground as well; however this guitar is certainly no slouch at flat picking tunes either!

Guitar Learning Software Is There Even Such a Thing?

Little Jimmy Dickens made a name for himself starting in the late 1940s as a singer of novelty country songs. He cut a somewhat comical picture with his 4' 11" height and a crazy variety of pseudo-western rhinestone-studded outfits. Whether he'd intended to play the clown or not, it worked for him. But Dickens also contributed some fine rockabilly tunes during the 1950s.

Top 20 Whitney Houston Hits

Choosing the right wedding bands/music may not be as easy as it sounds especially when you have to arrange and plan for so many other things for the D-day. In fact, it can turn out to be quite a chore if you have no clue where to look to get the right music as well as the musicians. The role of music in a wedding ceremony as well as the reception later on is a huge one as it sets the mood for the complete event.

How to Keep Your Passion for Music

Music journalism in the UK - as we know it - began to flourish in the early 1960s just as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones came to prominence. However, this article looks at the current leaders in music news and reviews journalism/media in the UK. NME The New Musical Express (or the NME) is a weekly music news magazine in the United Kingdom and is the best known (and oldest) music publication in the UK, which was started March 1952.

Review of the Album Passion, Pain and Pleasure by Trey Songz

Elton John was in activity ever since 1964. By simply the legitimate identity Reginald Kenneth Dwight, he was given birth to on March twenty-five, '47 throughout Middlesex, England. He was first an outstanding pianist when he had been really adolescent. Elton John earned an important fund from the Royal Academy of Music the moment the guy has been basically eleven yrs and even kept generally there until the guy was 15 years old.

Last night night David and I were invited to help celebrate our dear Mariqueen’s birthday at ChoSun Galbee Korean BBQ last night and we had an absolute blast celebrating with all of her family and friends. The party was a surprise so it was pretty much mum’s the word until the big surprise went down. I think we managed to surprise her pretty successfully … the look on her face when she walked into the room full of people was just perfection!

Not only was the company fantastic but the food was really amazing. We ate our faces off and then were treated to the most delicious desserts available. For some reason, David and I couldn’t get enough of our friend Genevieve’s beautiful baby girl Audrey. The precious little girl just manages to get cuter and cuter every time we see her. It was all we could do to keep from stealing her away and bringing her home with us. We’re planning a playdate with Gen and Audrey tomorrow so … expect more photos. I want to formally extend all my Birthday Lurve to Mariqueen today for her birthday yesterday. I hope she had a fantastic day … we had a blast celebrating with her :)

Tonight, David and I are planning to get together with Ollie and Caleb — who have been gallivanting in London for that past week. I’m dying to hear about their trip :) It’s a gloomy Wednesday here in SoCal today … I hope your Hump Day is going well.

Rockabilly Bands Made A Big Sound With A Simple Gear Setup

Driving a car is one of the best times to listen to music. Many of us have the radio on or a CD playing to us from the moment we get in the car to the point we switch off the engine. And there's some good news if this describes you, as a recent study has suggested that drivers who sing along to songs are likely to concentrate more on their driving and feel less sleepy.

Digital Truth

Of all art related articles and submissions so far, I have found this one to be the most trying. I feel the art textbook simply do not do justice to our modern artists, as there are many that would have been better represented in the final chapters of our art books. For this topic I have selected a work by Arshile Gorky entitled "The Artist and his Mother".

Violin Master Pro Fact or Fiction?

Throughout history there have been examples of people with a particular passion for music. Most often we think of performers who succeeded against the nearly impossible odds of "making it big" as a musician. But there have been just as many passionate people behind the scenes and it's often been people like these who've made the biggest contributions to music. Sam Phillips is one of these people.

Jamorama Guitar Course Review

Throughout history, protest songs have galvanized the oppressed into resisting their oppressors. Martin Luther King Jr said, 'freedom songs serve to give unity to a movement.' The revolutions in North Africa and the Middle East have been inspired by rap music, which the authorities tried to ban, pointing again to the potential of political music to effect social change. However, the inevitable question that comes up when considering protest music is whether it really matters - does it make a difference?

Victoria Beckham Loses Her Cool While Parenting Her Kiddies

Victoria Beckham is ALWAYS the perfect picture of restraint and control but over the weekend at an LA Galaxy soccer match at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, her poshness lost her cool for a split second when her children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David and BFF Ken Paves — forced her [...]

After our fun-filled day by the beach, Darion, his mom, David and I made our way to the AMC Theater at Century City to see Source Code. Now, I’ve had mixed feelings about the film from the very first time I saw the trailer a few months ago. On the one hand, the trailer didn’t make the film look all that good … on other hand, well, Jake Gyllenhaal is in it so …. you can see how I was torn. When I learned that Duncan Jones (David Bowie‘s son) directed it, I was sold. Overall, I liked Source Code very much … tho, for me, the ending left much to be desired.

I’ve heard some people say that Source Code reminds them of Inception and while I can see how some people can make that connection, I totally do not think the movies are all that similar. The storylines are totally different and there really isn’t all that much overlap thematically. In Source Code, we are are taken on a journey that tries to make us understand the concept of alternate realities and for the most part, I was on board with what the movie was trying to say … but the ending, I’m sorry, no I just didn’t buy it. I’ve watched my fair share of sci-fi programming that has given me a “working knowledge” of time travel, alternate realities, other dimensions etc. (and by “working knowledge” I mean, I’ve come to believe in a set of fictional rules that seem feasible to me if time travel, alternate realities, etc. actually existed). The ending of Source Code just did not work for me in the framework of my “working knowledge” of sci-fi temporal travel so … yeah, no, I didn’t like the ending. The rest of the movie, tho, I thought was inventive and entertaining. As much as I love Jakey poo, I felt he overacted a bit in some scenes but not enough to turn me off entirely. The support cast was fine but they were like background wallpaper … none of them really added anything to the story that stood out for me. I wish Source Code wasn’t a PG-13 film because the action felt a bit watered down. But, again, the inventiveness of the story, the twists and turns and overall plotline really entertained me. I don’t expect this film will do gangbusters at the box office but it’s worth seeing. If you miss it in theaters, you’ll be just fine seeing it on DVD or on cable.

Did any of y’all see Source Code this weekend? What did you think?
